About this item
Handwoven dhaka in soft cotton, and wide enough that you can actually wear it rather than draping it over the back of a chair.
Every one is a different colourway, because they come from different warps — I photograph what I have and what you collect is the piece you picked, not one like it. The patterning is woven in, so it is the same cloth on both faces with the working visible on the reverse, which is the honest sign of real dhaka.
Cotton, so it is a three-season shawl rather than a winter one: it takes the edge off an evening without being hot.
Hand wash cold, separately for the first two washes, and dry flat in the shade. The colours are strong and they will run a little at first.
