About this item
Three large block-printed sheets of handmade lokta paper.
Block printing means a carved wooden block, inked and pressed by hand, one impression at a time — so the ink sits slightly unevenly, the registration is a fraction off here and there, and no two sheets are the same. Printed paper that is perfectly uniform came off a machine.
They wrap a book beautifully, which is what most people buy them for. They also frame straight as they are, deckle edges and all, and cost rather less than a print.
Store them flat. Rolled lokta keeps a memory of the curl for a long time.
