About this item
The box people take to somebody's house — milk barfi, coconut and pista, cut small so it can be handed round rather than sliced at the table.
Milk barfi is reduced milk and sugar, cooked down and set: dense, fudgy, not too sweet. The coconut is lighter, the pista is the one that disappears first. Roughly equal thirds unless you ask for more of one, which is fine if you tell me when you order.
500g is about 25 to 30 pieces depending on how I cut them. They are at their best within three or four days and want a cool room rather than the fridge, which dries them.
Contains milk, sugar, coconut and pistachio, from a kitchen that also handles other nuts and sesame.
