About this item
Aged basmati in the 5kg sack, which is the size every family here actually buys — the 1kg bags cost nearly half as much again per kilo. Long grain, fluffs up separate, and it has been aged a year so it does not go gluey when you rest it. Rinse until the water runs clear and soak twenty minutes before it goes on; that is the whole trick. Keep the sack closed and off the floor and it lasts as long as it takes you to eat it.
