About this item
Gundruk is mustard greens that have been fermented in a jar and then dried in the sun, and the packet smells sour and strong the moment you open it — that is gundruk doing its job, not going off. Soak a handful, then cook it with soybeans, potato and tomato for the winter soup that every hill family lives on; it is also good fried dry with onion and chilli as a side. Two hundred grams is a lot once it swells back. Keep it dry and closed.
