Dalle khursani is the small round chilli from the eastern hills, and it is properly hot — the kind of hot that people who grew up with it still respect. Pickled whole in mustard oil with a little salt and timur, so a jar keeps for months in the fridge and you take one chilli out at a time with a clean dry spoon. Eat it beside dal bhat, or crush one into a tomato achar for the heat without the chilli. Four jars this consignment; the importer gets it in small lots.
