About this item
Two rolls of rope dhoop — the herb-and-juniper kind from the Kathmandu valley that is twisted into a cord rather than rolled onto a stick, so there is no bamboo smell underneath it. Light the end, blow it out, and lay it in the burner or across a dish of ash; a length burns for twenty minutes and smells of juniper and a monastery. For the morning puja corner, or for the flat when it has been raining for a week. Not for a smoke alarm at close range — burn it with a window cracked.
